Tonight’s main event in the Champions League takes place at the Emirates Stadium between Arsenal and Paris Saint Germain.
PSG kicked off their European campaign with a win, albeit after an underwhelming performance at home to Girona. The French champions claimed the three points after a stoppage time own goal from their Spanish opponents.
Similarly, Arsenal have also experienced a stuttering start this season with a goalless draw away to Atalanta. David Raya was crucial in this game after a brilliant double save to deny Matteo Retegui from the spot.
Arsenal will still be without their captain Martin Odegaard as a result of a long-term ankle injury. Other names on Arteta’s injury list include Tomiyasu, Zinchenko, and summer signing Mikel Merino. Arteta is expected to field an offensive lineup with Martinelli, Saka, Havertz, and Trossard all expected to start the match.
PSG have injury concerns of their own with Kimpembe, Hernandez, and Goncalo Ramos all expected to be absent for the trip to North London. The French side will still pose a serious attacking threat to Arsenal’s solid defensive structure wiith Kolo Muani and Bradley Barcola.
