Statistics for Newcastle vs PSG

It is undeniable that PSG are the more experienced and stronger of the two sides. That being said, they have had a mixed bag of results so far this season, winning just three out of their first seven in the league, placing them in fifth. In Europe, however, they have three points on the board and sit top of the group after comfortably seeing off Dortmund on MD1.

Newcastle, on the other hand, have seen a massive upturn in results in recent weeks. Since coming away with a point against AC Milan on MD1, they have torn apart Sheffield United by eight goals to nil, knocked treble winning Manchester City out of the EFL Cup, and eased past Burnley in a 2-0 victory at home.

All things considered, this is a tough one to call despite Newcastle’s inexperience in the competition. Mbappe will be raring to go and is already on seven goals this season, whilst Isak and Wilson are joint top scorers for Newcastle with four each. This could be one of those nights where the drowning atmosphere from the home support might just get Newcastle over the line. Either way, it has all the ingredients for a thrilling affair.
