2nd round of the Football Predictor Free2Play – win up to €4,000!
The 2nd round of the Football Predictor Free2Play has begun. This week we have selected six World Cup qualifying matches at the weekend. An exciting prize awaits.
What is the total prize pool?
If all your six results are correct, you can win up to €4,000. If none of the participants predict all matches correctly, the prize money of the 2nd round will be carried over completely to the next week – so there would be € 6,000 in the prize pot.
The prize pool will be increased by a further €2,000 each week until it reaches a maximum of €10,000, assuming no one wins.
The 2nd round of the football betting game ends on Saturday, 4 September, at 17:00. At the same time, first match of the 3rd round starts.
The matches of the 2nd round – World Cup Qualification 2022
We usually select six matches from the top five European leagues. As there are currently no matches taking place in these countries, we have chosen to include six international matches for the 2nd round of the Football Predictor Free2Play instead. These are our matches:
Latvia – Norway | Saturday, 17:00
Latvia and Norway play in Group G of the World Cup qualifiers, which is perhaps one of the most balanced ones.
Erling Haaland has not yet found his top form under Solbakken, in which he has already presented himself several times in Dortmund this season. Norway wants to take the three points and secure one of the top two positions in the group.
Latvia, on the other hand, has only collected one point so far and therefore has very little chance of advancing. Norway are therefore favourites going into the match.
Faroe Islands – Denmark | Saturday, 19:45
Denmark lead their group after three wins in the first three games. Kasper Hjulmand’s team has proven its class at the European Championship and has advanced to the semi-finals.
The Danes have already scored 14 goals during the current qualification cycle without conceding a single goal. Apart from the Scandinavians, only Italy and Sweden have a clean sheet after their first games.
The Faroe Islands will defend tooth and nail. They have scored only once in this qualifying round. It all points to a Danish victory with several goals to spare.
Ukraine – France | Saturday, 19:45
Ukraine has put an exclamation mark on their record by reaching the quarter-finals of the European Championship. They had finished the group as the best third-placed team. In the round of the best 8, they lost against England. Now they face a similarly difficult task against France.
In the first leg, the world champions could not manage more than a draw at home against Ukraine. They went on to beat Kazakhstan and Bosnia. Ukraine, on the other hand, also drew against Finland and Kazakhstan.
France is nominally the favourite, of course. In a qualifying match, however, everything is possible, as the Ukrainians already showed in the first leg. The rather lacklustre performances of Deschamps’ team in recent months and the quality of the Ukrainians give reason to hope for an exciting match.
England – Andorra | Sunday, 17:00
The European Championship runners-up will face a team that should pose no real threat. Like Denmark, the English have the maximum points after three games. Accordingly, there have been clear victories against San Marino and Albania and a close 2-1 against Poland.
Against Andorra, Southgate could start the younger generation, which could have an impact on the game. On the other hand, Andorra will try to avoid a defeat and play defensively. Nevertheless, it is likely to be a high-scoring affair.
Belgium – Czech Republic | Sunday, 19:45
After yet another disappointing tournament at the EURO, Belgium must look ahead. They surprisingly lost in the quarter-finals against the eventual winners Italy. The next goal is the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The expected success of the golden generation with the national team has not yet materialised. Accordingly, the upcoming World Cup could be the very last chance for De Bruyne and Co. Belgium currently leads the group with seven points.
The Czech Republic, on the other hand, can look back on a successful tournament. They have shown that they can challenge even the biggest nations. At theEURO, it was Patrik Schick who set the tone with five goals, including the best of the tournament. Accordingly, we expect a close game on Sunday with slight advantages for Belgium.
Switzerland – Italy | Sunday, 19:45
About two months ago there was the same encounter in the preliminary round group A of the European Championship. Back then, the match ended with a comfortable 3-0 victory for Italy. For the Swiss, this was the low point of the tournament. They went on to beat France sensationally and lost to Spain after penalties.
Italy has a clean sheet so far, while Switzerland has won two out of three matches. Both teams are the group favourites. Italy in particular will be watched with excitement, as the past has often proven that a triumph at a World Cup or European Championship can leave an emotional hole.
2nd round of the Football Predictor Free2Play: How it works
The 2nd round of the Football Predictor Free2Play is still open until 4 September – all 6 matches have to be guessed correctly. If there is a winner, the entire prize pot of € 4,000 will be awarded to him or her. If more than one player wins, the prize pool will be divided equally between the winners. All conditions can also be found on the F2P page.
