Bournemouth vs Brighton Odds: Can Potters side claim another win?
When? Saturday 10th September, 15:00 BST
Where? Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth
Broadcast: N/A
Latest result: Bournemouth 3-1 Brighton
It’s matchweek 7 of the Premier League season and one of the hotly anticipated matches sees newly promoted Bournemouth host Brighton. The two seaside clubs have had very different seasons so far, but will have equal motivation to take all three points.
Sadly, this one isn’t televised in the UK but you can keep up with the score live at TVG.
Bournemouth showing strength and character
Bournemouth are the first club to sack their manager this season and some might call it undeserved. Scott Parker was sacked post their 9-0 defeat at the hand of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. They are yet to appoint his permanent replacement but have shown strength since, claiming two positive results.
The first was a goalless draw versus Wolves. Wolves were applying relentless pressure throughout the game but were not able to break the tightly packed defence of Bournemouth. This was a fantastic result, but the Cherries next was even better. They faced fellow promoted side Nottingham Forest and despite going 2-0 down, managed to win 3-2. This proved the heart is still very much beating in the dressing room.
They will need to display similar strength if they’re to beat Potter’s Brighton. The Bournemouth vs Brighton odds favour Brighton massively. Bournemouth are 13/4 to win while Brighton are 3/4. We’ve seen teams defy the odds plenty of times throughout this season already so don’t write off Bournemouth based on the odds. They may just shock you.
Potter’s Brighton pushing for Europe
Brighton have been an absolutely fantastic footballing outfit since Graham Potter was appointed. Their recruitment has been fantastic, young, hungry, driven players who are performing at the highest level.
On paper, their team doesn’t look all that special but on the pitch there’s a massive unity that makes them so hard to beat. We’ve already seen them sweep aside Manchester United this season and that tells you everything about this side. They play with massive confidence and swagger, in places they never look like getting beat.
This form has made them favourites for a lot of their games this season and this is no exception. The Bournemouth vs Brighton odds massively favour the away side as previously mentioned. Which is why we are backing a bet builder to boost the odds and give you a greater return.
- Brighton to win
- Alexis Mac Allister and Leandro Trossard to score
- Both teams to score? Yes
- 13/1
As much as Brighton have been fantastic, there are still flaws in their game. Particularly at the back. They’ve conceded four in their last two, which included a 2-1 defeat to Fulham. They will need to be stronger at the back versus Bournemouth, otherwise they could find themselves in some trouble.
If they go up in the game, they will need to ensure that they remain disciplined. Bournemouth have proven they can make comebacks happen and we wouldn’t be surprised if they pulled off another.
