Fulham vs Manchester United Odds: Can United bounce back from adversity?
When? Sunday, 13th November 2022
Where? Craven Cottage, Fulham
Broadcast: Sky Sports PL & Main Event
Latest Result: Man Utd 1-1 Fulham, May 2021
This Sunday we see Manchester United take a trip to Craven Cottage on the late Sky Sports Super Sunday fixture. United lost last time out against Aston Villa, Erik ten Hag and his players will be desperate to rewrite the wrongs and get back on track.
Meanwhile, Fulham have continued to play out of their skins. They came so close to a point away at Man City last Saturday and now turn their attention to the red half of Manchester. Can they pull off a shock result?
Fulham firing under Silva
I don’t think anyone expected Fulham to have the start to this season that they have. Many expected the cottagers to be among the relegation candidates this season but they have shown serious intent to be a mid table team.
They’ve had a fantastic start to life in the Premier League. They’ve produced some excellent performances and results. On another day, Fulham might’ve beaten Liverpool and Manchester City! They were unlucky in both of these fixtures.
The next test is no easy task for Fulham, United are a tough opponent. They may not be a title contender at this stage but they will most likely secure a place in the top four. Fulham will need to hit United on fast breaks.
A man who will help with this is former United man Andreas Peirera. He has been massively influential for Fulham since he signed in the summer. He’s an excellent ball carrier which will be key for Fulham’s counter attacking play and he knows a lot of the United players.
Andreas and Mitrovic will be key in any success had by Fulham. 888sport have the Fulham vs Man Utd Odds at:
- Fulham: 57/20
- Draw: 57/20
- Man United: 17/20
United need a win
Erik ten Hag’s first season as Manchester United manager has been a mixed bag so far. He has recruited well in the transfer market and had some excellent results. They’ve beaten the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs! Where they’ve fallen is the smaller games.
They have been defeated by Brighton, Brentford and Aston Villa already this season. Each of these performances were horrendous. If United want to compete in this division they need to win these sort of fixtures.
This Sunday’s game will be a big test for ten Hag’s men. Last time the team lost in the league, they bounced back with an impressive 2-1 away win at Everton. They’ll need something similar on Sunday. The title seems to be out of the question for United, but a top four finish is still very much on the cards.
They will continue to play total football, a style adopted by ten Hag all throughout his managerial career. The United players are slowly developing to fit what he wants, one man who has brought the heat is Alejandro Garnacho. In the absence of Martial, Antony and Sancho he has shown his quality.
Fulham vs Man Utd Odds: Predictions
We think that Sunday is United’s day. They’ll bounce back with a big three points against a good Fulham side. We can see a 1-0 United win, with Marcus Rashford scoring. The odds of this are: 30/1. Will you back it?
