Liverpool vs Leeds Odds: Can Jurgen Klopp turn his fortunes around?
When? Saturday 29th October at 19:45
Where? Anfield Stadium: Liverpool
Broadcast: Sky Sports Premier League & Main Event
Last Result: Liverpool 6-0 Leeds, February 2022
Liverpool and Leeds are both going through very rough periods at the current moment. Two greats of English football who are both suffering from poor performances. Liverpool in particular are massively underperforming. Going into the season, many saw it as a two horse race between Liverpool and Man City, much like last season. In reality Liverpool have fallen off massively and Arsenal have been the competitors of City.
Leeds looked to be back on track under Jesse Marsch, but things began to collapse for him very quickly. His summer signings have been the saving grace of a poor start to the season. Leeds have failed to win in their last eight Premier League games and with the ferocity of their next opponent, we could easily see this stretch to nine.
The last time the two sides met, Leeds had Marcelo Bielsa in charge and they were decimated 6-0 by Liverpool. It can’t get much worse than this, surely?
Liverpool need results and fast
Liverpool’s season has shocked many of us. They have as many draws as they do wins! They’ve already dropped as many points as they did in the entirety of the 2018/19 season when they finished second on 97 points. They have suffered defeat twice more than they did that season as well. They have lost to Manchester United, Arsenal and most recently Nottingham Forest.
The most recent result personified Liverpool’s fortunes in the best possible way. A loss to a newly promoted side who had won just once prior this season. Liverpool were poor. Their top players are massively out of form, their new signing Darwin Nunez has had a slow start and their once formidable defence is finally beginning to show some rust.
They need nothing less than a victory on Saturday night. The Liverpool vs Leeds odds favour the Reds. If you’re looking to back them, we’d recommend backing a win with Darwin Nunez scoring and being carded.
Leeds lacking love for Marsch
Leeds boss Jesse Marsch had a great start to life in Yorkshire, building a strong team spirit and getting results. He kept them in the division last season and started his first full season well. Things have quickly slipped down the pan as Leeds have lost their last four league matches. They need a turnaround and fast.
There would be no better medicine for the Leeds fans than an away win at Anfield, it’s a tough ask but in football- anything is possible. They are massive underdogs reading into the game, which could make for some great betting success stories. They are currently 7/1 to win, which is our Leeds pick. Nothing more than a basic moneyline bet. Good luck!
Liverpool vs Leeds Odds: Our Predictions
This game is massive for both sides, as Jesse Marsch’ Leeds future hangs in the balance and Liverpool’s form continues to falter, there is plenty riding on this one. We think Liverpool will do enough to win this one, they have to. Another loss or draw would put them in a terrible place. Jurgen Klopp will inspire his players to get back on track in style. We can see a 4-1 Liverpool victory. The 888sport odds of this is 12/1.
