Where? Molineux, Wolverhampton
Broadcast: Sky Sports PL & Main Event
Latest Result: Arsenal 2-1 Wolves, February 2022
After the Newcastle vs Chelsea game this Saturday, we have Wolves vs Arsenal to feast our eyes on with Sky Sports. It’s a Saturday night double header and we couldn’t be more excited.
The Wolves vs Arsenal odds will provide some great money making opportunities too!
Wolves have recently replaced manager Bruno Lage with the now former Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui. The Spanish manager has an incredible record in management and comes to the Premier League with a big reputation.
Wolves win needed for Lopetegui
The new Wolves boss, Julen Lopetegui, will take charge of his first Premier League match this Saturday. He takes over from interim boss Steve David who guided his side to a 3-2 defeat against Brighton in his latest outing.
Davis won just once in his stint as Wolves boss and given the squad they have, you’d expect much much better. Lopetegui will be desperate to get off to the best possible start, but he faces a very good Arsenal side managed by his compatriot, Mikel Arteta.
It will be a tricky fixture for Wolves, they have managed positive results in this fixture before and we’ve already seen the difference a new manager boost makes on Midland teams. Aston Villa beat Manchester United 3-1 in their first game under the management of Unai Emery.
Can Wolves repeat this and beat Arsenal? 888sport have them at 19/4 to do so. If they do manage to do it; we expect it to be a 1-0 win. An early goal and shut up shop job. The odds of this are 16/1!
Arsenal continue fine form under Arteta
We’ve said it many times already here this season, but we’ll say it again. Mikel Arteta and Arsenal have been a revelation this season. From a side struggling to string two results together, to a side who can’t seem to lose; remarkable.
Arteta’s handy work has Arsenal at the top of the pile. With wins against Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea in the process. The only defeat for the gunners in the league came at Old Trafford back in September. We can’t sing Arteta and Arsenal’s praises enough, but we still think this will be a tough game for Arsenal.
Despite their form, Wolves are still a threat with some fantastic players in their ranks. Arteta will have to play this one right. Lopetegui will work around Arteta’s possession based game by turning to deep lying playmakers Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves in midfield to break the lines.
Arteta will need to find a way to press the midfield quickly and keep the Portuguese midfielders off the ball. This game will be won and lost in this battle.
Wolves vs Arsenal Odds: Match Predictions
We think that Lopetegui’s first Premier League outing will end in defeat. Arsenal will simply be too much for them at this stage and run out 2-0 winners, with goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus.
Arsenal are at 13/2 to win 2-0. Will you back it?
