Manchester Utd vs West Ham Odds: Can Moyes finally get his United revenge?
When? Sunday 30th October at 16:30
Where? Old Trafford, Manchester
Broadcast: Sky Sports PL and Main Event
Latest Result: Man Utd 1-0 West Ham, January 2022
Manchester United host West Ham in the only game on Sky Sports’ Super Sunday. The two sides both have rich Premier League histories and have had some iconic bouts in the PL era.
West Ham have levelled up in quality as of the last few seasons and have been closer to Man Utd than ever. Last season the Irons had the opportunity to finish above United on the final day! This season they have seemingly dropped off a little bit, but they are still capable of causing massive problems.
Recent games between these two sides have been very close and West Ham will be hoping to keep this up.
United finding rhythm under ten Hag
United’s new manager took a while to settle in but it’s clear that he has changed the mentality among many United players. He has recruited well and brought back a feeling of hope that was lost at United last season.
The big enigma at United at the moment is the Cristiano Ronaldo situation. Who would’ve thought? The five time Balon D’or winner has left Old Trafford early on two occasions and was subsequently left out of ten Hag’s travelling side to Stamford Bridge last Saturday.
It remains to be seen whether he’ll be involved against West Ham but it’s clear that this situation needs to be resolved. We have seen Marcus Rashford occupy his position. He has looked more like himself this season.
United need to win. The teams above them don’t drop points much and they’ll pull away if United drop points. Every game is important in this division.
United are favourites to win this one, they’re 4/6 to win. Which is why we suggest a bet builder:
- Manchester United to win
- Bruno Fernandes to score
- Both teams to score: No
- 11/2
Moyes’ West Ham beginning to click again
West Ham currently sit tenth in the table, as mid table as can be. Which is a positive for them when you consider their poor start. West Ham struggled at the beginning of this season but they have quickly turned things around and look much stronger now. Said Benrahma has picked up performances and Gianluca Scamacca is finally off the mark.
West Ham will have plenty of motivation to beat United. David Moyes has not beaten United in the league since being sacked by them in 2014. He always has the extra piece of motivation to hurt his former employer.
West Ham are 37/10 to beat United at 888Sport. If you’re looking to bet on West Ham, here is how we suggest doing so.
- West Ham to win
- Kurt Zouma to score
- 25/1
If West Ham score it will likely come from a set play or a counter attack. We think a set piece is more likely. Zouma scored in his last appearance too!
Manchester Utd vs West Ham Odds: Predictions
We think that United will run past West Ham. They’ll control possession and have enough to beat past their defence. We can see Bruno Fernandes scoring from the spot in this one.
Will we see an upset? West Ham beat United in the EFL Cup last season…
